Media Bias Backlash

As everyone is aware, the news media has been biased for years, skewing stories in favor of leftist Democrats.  But this year has been worse then the years leading up to it.  Prompting action.

Yesterday a large group of conservative media personalities and activists, along with their respective groups.  Have asked Americans to switch off the “biased news media”.  They state in an open letter that the establishment media are “out of control with a deliberate and unmistakable leftist agenda.”

The beginning of the open letter reads as follows:

This election year, so much of the broadcast networks, their cable counterparts, and the major establishment print media are out of control with a deliberate and unmistakable leftist agenda.  To put it bluntly: you are rigging this election and taking sides in order to pre-determine the outcome.  In the quarter century since the Media Research Center was established to document liberal media bias, there has never been a more brazen and complete attempt by the liberal so-called “news” media to decide the outcome of an election.

The large group includes people like Rush Limbaugh, Brent Bozell (President – Media Research Center), Laura Ingraham, Mark Levin and Tony Perkins (President – Family Research Council).  Very prominent names in the conservative media today.

Many Americans have become disgusted with how the media reports on stories.  Giving more attention to whether Romney will apologize for a remark that needs no apology.  While pretty much ignoring the planned terrorist attacks on American embassies across the Middle East.

And it seems that it is starting to reach a tipping point in this election cycle.  Never before have we witnessed such open hostility to a presidential candidate, giving him harsh criticisms, while they ignore the failings opf the incumbent president and ask questions that have nothing to do with the election.

It is truly ridiculous.  This is one of the reasons why most people hate the elections, and dislike the media so much.  Maybe because of the ridiculousness of this year in the media it may soon come to an end.  But that could be a futile hope.

California’s Deficit Soars To $16 Billion

It has just come out that the deficit for California has skyrocketed up to a staggering $16 billion under Gov. Jerry Brown.  A much larger number than the governor had talked about last month, saying that it would probably go up to $9.2 billion.

Brown is saying that cuts alone wont solve this problem, even though cuts have been blocked by federal requirements.  And he is saying that what they must do to solve the states increasing deficit, is to raise taxes on wealthy and other.  He is making a plea to the people of the state to support his plan, since his plan weighs heavily on the shoulders of the voters approving higher taxes.

The governor is claiming that raising taxes would help pull the state out of its deep dive that started about a decade ago.  He is saying that if taxes are not increased, then public schools, colleges and public safety would suffer deep cuts.

What we are seeing in California is the direct results of failed liberal policies that are killing states that are ruled by them.  A perfect state to look to is Michigan where they have been suffering for years under liberals, but recently changed and elected conservatives that are now bringing their state back.

The same thing is happening to California.  It’s the same doom and gloom speech, if you don’t raise taxes and do what I say than you will suffer.  Under Browns tax plan, there would be a temporary raise of the states sales tax by a quarter cent, and increase the income tax on people who make $250,000 or more.  This plan sounds a good bit like what Pres. Obama and other democrats would like to do.

The few republican legislators that are in California, are trying to fight the tax hikes that the governor is proposing.  Trying to get it across that this plan would hurt the states recovery.

Most likely California voters will vote for the tax hikes since the governor is threatening that immediate cuts would be made if they didn’t vote for it.  But there could be the possibility that the voters will wake up by then.

So keep an eye on the state of California, as it is becoming the next Michigan and just like the wolverine state, this will be the plan for the rest of the country.

And just like Michigan, people and business’ have been leaving the state in reportedly large numbers.  Mostly going to more business friendly states like Texas.

 

Just to note, it is being predicted by some that California will go heavily for Pres. Obama.  Because some believe that if he wins re-election that he will give the state a bailout.

Conservative Chris Loesch’s Twitter Account Suspended For Defending Wife….Again

Chris Loesch, husband of Dana Loesch who is the editor-in-chief of Big Journalism and Tea Party contributor for CNN.  Has had his Twitter account suspended for a second time tonight.  Both suspensions were for the same thing.  Chris was defending his wife against other liberal tweeters who were attacking her making fun of her and joking about rape.

The first time, many conservatives on Twitter banded together and made #FreeChrisLoesch one of the top trending topics in the world.  And after getting him back on Twitter, it happened again almost immediately.

What is probably the worst fact in this case, is that accounts that talk about killing conservatives and ones like @KillZimmerman stay up for weeks (or more) at a time, even though many protest them.  But when liberals abuse the spam button against conservatives, Twitters system takes quick action.  And a good man is prevented from giving his opinion and speaking out in support of his own wife.

Now, all conservatives are banding together for a second time tonight and making #FreeChrisLoeschAgain a trending topic.

I am calling of my followers to join in and help bring Chris’ account back on.  Make sure that you spread the word around.  We can fix this together and stop people from abusing Twitters system.

UPDATE*

It is going around that other conservatives are being blocked in the same way, and that leftist liberals are compiling lists of conservatives to attack.  Keep an eye on each other everyone.

2nd UPDATE*

Chris Loesch’s account has been reinstated by Twitter, and the engineers are keeping an eye on his account in case it happens again.

It’s also being discussed that the liberal front accounts on Twitter will be coming back and doing the same thing this week.  Most likely they will be going after conservative accounts with smaller followings since the bigger conservative twitter accounts are harder to block with their method.
